Coalition values
Each participating OCDSB trustee candidate makes this commitment individually. It sets out how we intend to represent our communities and work together.
If elected, these principles will guide Daniel’s work with other trustees and his decisions in the interests of students and school communities.
Local democracy
School communities deserve representation by elected trustees. Daniel supports ending provincial supervision, restoring the board’s democratic authority, and pairing that authority with transparent decisions and clear accountability to residents.
Student support
Every student has a right to a public education that responds to individual needs. Chronic resource pressure is felt most sharply by students with disabilities and others who rely on specialized support. Trustees must advocate for the staffing, programs, and funding students need to attend, participate, and succeed.
No hate in our schools
Students deserve schools that are safe, inclusive, and free from hate. Daniel is committed to challenging racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, ableism, misogyny, anti-Indigenous and anti-Palestinian racism, queerphobia, sinophobia, and other forms of hate through education, representation, support, and sustained work with affected communities.
Co-operation
Effective representation requires trustees to work across zones. Daniel will cooperate with fellow trustees when it helps community concerns reach the board’s leadership, the Ministry of Education, and the provincial supervisor for as long as that office remains in place.
Working for you
The trustee’s work continues during supervision, even without normal board authority. Daniel will amplify local concerns, help families navigate the system, and advocate for Zone 3. When elected governance returns, he will work constructively with board leadership while keeping students and school communities at the centre of every decision.
